About TPB Journal

The Public Brain Journal is meant to be a repository, of sorts, documenting a deep dive into neuroscience. Many things relating to all areas of neuroscience will eventually be found here but the primary purpose of this work is to keep a finger on the pulse of the neuro-centric happenings you might have read about in some science-fiction novel as a kid. Many of the things that were still a dream five or ten years ago are quickly becoming a reality, namely: brain-machine interface, deep brain stimulation, MIMO models specifically designed to replace deficient neural tissue with computer chips, and neuromorphic computing.

As these technologies continue to develop, we will come closer and closer to realizing a better and smarter future for the human brain.

I made my bones as an advertising copywriter. My TV, radio and print ads have amused millions of people and helped sell tons of cleaning products, coffee, macadamia nuts and other goodies. But I prefer that other kind of fiction: short stories and novels. My first published novel, Mindclone, is a near-future look at the amusing and serious consequences of brain-uploading. It’s garnered mostly five star reviews. The sequel is percolating in my brain even now. Stay tuned.
